Just like the two previous books, this one is hard to put down from start to finish. The introduction of new characters brings a promise of more to come. I am definitely a huge fan, have been since the first book.These books have a new and fully formed future society, technology and universe that is unlike the mimicry of other sci-fi stories (some of mine included, lol). I want to know more about it, there is potential for so many varied tales therein.

Great piece of writing. Can't wait for the next one!
Great storytelling!
You have to read this book only for the fact that the author manages to answer to the 'Brain in the jar' philosophical scenario in just two paragraphs. It is clear that the author has done his research in mind philosophy and science. On the whole the book leaves you craving for more!
Though it's constructed as two separate stories and while the first one isn't entirely resolved, but left for a sequel, the whole feels very cohesive. It contains a great twist that further enriches the whole telepathy universe of the "Mindguard" books, thrilling action sequences. Sheldon's situation especially is very captivating and keeps you on the edge the whole time. It gives new perspective on this rather impenetrable character. But I would have liked it more if there were more introspection to it, involving the reader more through contemplation, rather than just entertaining them through narration.
